Im a new Realtor, my broker has given me a website that is prebuilt and its domain is [email protected]
What is the best way to rank or get my website traffic? The main purpose of this site is to let people search for houses in the MLS and if they are interested in any it allows me to get their info and contact them. I wouldnt want to make a new site as this one fits everything i need, but I think it would be hard to rank.
I was thinking maybe buy a better domain and have it redirect to my company website? Would that be easier for google to index and rank? Any ideas and tips would be apprecitated!

I wouldn’t bother buying another domain just to redirect it. A redirect won’t magically make the existing site rank better. If the site is basically the same template every other agent has, your bigger challenge is having anything unique for Google to rank. I’d focus on local SEO, useful neighborhood/property content, and getting legitimate local backlinks. The MLS search can bring value, but it probably won’t be enough by itself.

If your broker's domain has high domain authority, then it could be easier to rank depending on the competition. The first thing you need to do is to create a Google my business profile, verify it, and optimise it properly. Also, get your site listed on real estate / business directories for your location.
Basically, research and learn local SEO.

i am not spend money on another domain for this since a redirect by itself not give the current site any ranking boost if the broker site is using the same setup as other agents then getting unique content is probably the harder part put more effort into local pages neighborhood topics property related content and some real local links the mls feature is useful but it alone may not give google enough to work with

id keep the broker site and build up local SEO around your name, reviews and useful local content, a redirected domain wont really make ranking easier tbh.

ngl just make a website with something like ginta.app using your own claude, pretty simple to use and link ur domain

focus local seo first rather than buying another domain just to redirect it.set up your google business profile and build location specific pages around areas you serve so people searching for homes there can actually find your site.

Buying a new domain does not automatically cause you to rank, the domain you have is enough. You have to manually do the actions that will rank you. Actions like SEO optimization, Create a Google Business Profile, then create useful content around the niche,

I’d keep the broker site for MLS functionality and focus on local SEO, Google Business Profile eligibility, and useful neighborhood guides. A redirected domain usually won’t improve rankings by itself. Check whether your broker allows custom domains or unique landing pages first.
