i’m wondering—if I want to start a new page on Linkedin, is it better to use an old account (with few followers) or create a fresh one?

Does a new account have a better chance of getting impressions because it’s starting fresh? Or does an older account have more credibility and trust, even with low activity?

Depends on relevance. If your old account is relevant to your goals, campaigns, etc. then go for the old account. If you're going to pivot or build a completely different brand, ground up may be for the best. If you could stick with your old account with established credibility and trust, although how well that carries into a different niche remains to be seen.

It depends on your goals, but generally, an older account with some history is better than starting from scratch

An old account will be much better than a new account. Because an old account has a history of activity, it creates credibility with administrators.
Regarding the issue of an old account with little history, it is still better than a new account with nothing.
As for friends and interactions, you can build them gradually. Good luck!

I would suggest an old account, it will help you gain faster, also if it is relevant to your niche.

An older account is better because it has more credibility and a history with LinkedIn's algorithm, whereas a new account may face restrictions.

i think a clean slate does not mean that u will get something automatically. in case the previous account had a profile and some genuine connections i would continue using the same one nd gradually go active. just start posting some valuable content reggularly nd see how people react.

if the old account already has a few relevant followers i'd probably use it even a small existing audience is better than starting from zero.

if the older profile has normal history and real activity probably use that instead of starting over from zero having some existing account history can make the setup easier but the content and engagement will still matter a lot for impressions
