After a guest post goes live, what technical checks do you actually do?

One thing, after a guest post goes live, I usually check that the backlink is live, clickable, and points to the correct url.
I also check the html, rel attributes, redirects, and basic crawlability.

Just asking what technical checks others do before considering a backlink properly delivered?

As of me , i add one more checks as page isn't accidentally carrying noindex or being blocked by robot.txt. and worthy enough to check final url after redirects becoz links look fine but it drag to somewhere unexpected.

I tend to go through the same routine i will test the link to ensure that it works and leads to the proper URL without being interrupted by any odd redirects or attributes i would also want to ensure that the page is crawlable it is nothing fancy but it is all too easy to overlook one of these things.

I would also confirm the page can be indexed the link is not being blocked by robots or script and that the target URL is working with no extra redirects the link should not be in any template area but naturally in the content.

Apart from checking the link and its rel attributes, you can also check whether the page is indexed, has a 200 status code, and isn't blocked by robots.txt or a noindex tag. Make sure the link points to the correct URL without unexpected redirects. I also recommend checking whether the article has internal links, as they can help Google discover and crawl the page.

Good workflow. Don't forget to inspect HTTP headers for X-Robots-Tag: noindex and verify canonical tags, as those can negate an indexed page even if the link itself looks clean in the page source.

The most useful check, in my opinion, is a week or two later: look at referral traffic, indexing, and whether the guest post is actually getting impressions/clicks. A technically perfect backlink that sends zero relevant visitors isn't necessarily accomplishing much.

Mostly basic things.
Check if the images work.
Check if the internlink + external link work (I don´t click them).
Check if the title fonts are showing correctly (correct size).

Then I just leave it as it is...

I usually check the link is live and clickable first then make sure the URL is correct. After that I look at the rel tags, redirects and if the page is actually crawlable. I’d also check the page source once just to make sure the link isnt doing anything weird.

i just check the link is properly placed and anchor is correct then wait for the page to get indexed
