First one has clean skill, second has business acumen.

Technically speaking, with the ball down, there should not be a comparison between the two.

There are tons of better technical players than Ronaldo but there is only one Messi.

Ronaldo just happens to be in the same conversation with Messi just because of personal aura, not clean football skill.

Messi all day long I love Ronaldo and he's done some stunning things in his career but Messi is more of a fans player - less up his own bum in way less of the slick hair do just pure honest talent :)
 
Technical brilliance may make Messi unique, but reducing Ronaldo to ‘aura’ alone is ignoring a huge part of football history.
 
Both of them are GOAT. We were lucky to witness them both. I don't understand their fans going haywire online. It's stupid to have a debate on who is better. Both of them have their positives and negatives.

Yes, because scoring over 900 career goals is definitely just a side effect of having great business tacts or personal aura lol
 
Even tough i am not a Football guy, i like Messi, he is just so naturally good at what he does and moves in such a flow state...
 
The real debate is Sir Alex Ferguson vs Pep Guardiola. And with the recent unfolding of events, no one even comes close to SAF. Ancelotti is a close 2nd.

You seem to have some comprehension issues. I did not say he got no skill, I say he's maybe #20 or #50 in the world from 1 million footballers.
 
My bad but someone somehow forgot that being the all-time leading goalscorer with five Ballon d'ors barely squeaks a guy into the top 50. Hope you got my point :)
 
The Ronaldo have 900+ goals, five Champions Leagues, and a career built, and also work ethic, :) Messi is more gifted, but Ronaldo made himself great, and that's why people still argue about it.

Messi for skill, but I love Ronaldo more.
 
I think calling Ronaldo success mostly “aura” is a bit unfair. messi may have the more natural technical ability but Ronaldo consistency, adaptability are also major parts of what make him all time great different strengths same level of greatness
 
Earlier I would have been pissed lol. For me football began watching Ronaldo play for Manchester United, and then challenge himself in different leagues. Messi is a classy player but his decision to stick to La Liga was puzzling would have been better had he tried himself in premier league. Now I feel both deserve respect
