Would you say most anti AI people are just jumping on the hate bandwagon so they can get some quick external validation?

I ask because there is a principle in psychology called social proof.

If we see other people hating something we feel the urge to jump in usually with our uninformed opinions just to feel a part of something.

Fascinating to watch the antis cry and moan about it probably due to their own garbage life so they get some external validation if they post "I hate AI" and get upvotes/likes.

Their psychology is: I don't understand AI whatsoever so I'll hate on it because other people around me are hating on it therefore I get validation and feel better about myself.

Side note: this is why we look at reviews before buying something btw.

Man, learning human behaviour is so fun.

AI is just technology.

And I think that people hating on AI for the sake of hating on AI are actually hating the companies that are hellbound on replacing human workers.

Or they might be hating AI data centers consuming fresh water and depleting it for people living near AI data centers.

AI has been a scapegoat for mass layoffs and impacted millions of people directly or indirectly so I don't think their hate is unjustified

yes
most people fundamentally have no idea how AI even works
and just hating on it

some people may dislike AI because of social influence but not everyone has the same reason reviews and social proof can shape opinions but this is not only all factor to make descion personal experience also matters a better approach is to learn how AI works and then form your own view

S good chunk of it is just social proof, people see the hate posts getting likes and jump in so they feel like they belong.

Same reason folks copy whatever’s trending.
