Is Google instantly neutralizing PBN-supported guest posts if the outbound link ratio exceeds 50%?

Does Google automatically ignore paid backlinks if a guest post site sells links on more than half its pages, making those links totally useless?

I don't think there's any hard 50 % threshold where Google suddenly decides to neutralize a domain. SpamBrain looks at broader patterns of link spam, and in many cases the ranking benefit is simply ignored algorithmically, while more obvious link schemes can still lead to manual actions.

The bigger issue is whether the site is basically selling followed links across unrelated niches without using the appropriate sponsored attributes. If Google sees a site as existing mainly to pass link equity, those links can lose their value regardless of whether they make up 20% , 50% or 80% of the site's pages

I wouldn’t assume there’s a specific 50% threshold where Google instantly ignores every link.

The overall quality and purpose of the site matter more.

A site that mainly exists to sell links is obviously a bigger red flag than a normal site that occasionally publishes sponsored content.

Turned down a guest post offer last week where nearly every article was a paid link. OnlineProxy's point about SpamBrain looking at the whole pattern lines up with what I've seen.

Sites with obvious link selling patterns across a majority of pages do get flagged and devalued algorithmically over time.

Even PBN links sold (well, not actual PBN as they are not private if they are sold) gets weaker and weaker, either you build a PBN or get some deal/rental PBN that is still usually high quality. Kinda a broader pattern in general with backlink type.

Most sites point links to other sites.

If you have decent-length articles, you'll gonna have things to link besides internal linking and authority sites. I don't think there is a threshold of 50% - G has other ways to figure out if it's a link farm or not.
