Article indexing- how long doest it usually take?

It varies by site. A new Article can be indexing within hours, But sometime it can take several days or longer, especially on newer or less frequently crawled site.

I'd usually give it 1-2 weeks to get indexed, and if not indexed, I'd contact the webmaster to see if there were any issues.
 
How quickly are your new articles getting indexed these days? I’m curious whether site authority, internal links, backlinks, or submitting the URL through Search Console makes a noticeable difference in indexing speed.

I usually give it a few days, then check the page again. If its still not indexed, I wll follow up with the webmaster and flag the issue.

I have 20 years of experience and things have changed a lot. These days it mostly depends on the trust of the site, not the article itself.
 
the one month site check is a pretty useful shortcut here. if the site isn’t indexing anything else, waiting longer probably won’t tell you much. if other pages are getting indexed but yours isn’t, then you have a much more specific issue to look into with the webmaster.

seven days, then i check whether the sites other recent posts are indexed before i contact anyone. if none of their recent posts are in, the problem is the site and a reminder changes nothing. if theirs are in and mine isnt i dont wait on the webmaster, i point a handful of support links at the article and its usually in within a week. i only chase them for things i cant fix myself, a noindex tag mostly

Yeah, indexing time will depend greatly on crawl rate and site history. New websites can stay for days before being indexed, so don’t take a few hours as a matter of concern.
 
usually give it a week or two before worrying, if it's still not indexed after that I check search console for errors first before bugging the webmaster

Normally give it a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on how often the site gets crawled...

If it’s still not indexed after that, check Search Console first for noindex tags, canonical issues, or crawl errors before contacting anyone.
 
I usually give it a few days first then check whether the page is actually crawlable and indexed before assuming there’s an issue Some sites can take longer depending on their crawl frequency

Couple of weeks is about my limit. Before chasing them though, check whether their other recent posts are indexed. If none of them are in, the problem is the site rather than your article and messaging them will not change it.
Useful to know before you order from them again anyway.

On established sites indexing can happen within hours or days, but new/weak sites can take much longer.
 
It can vary quite a bit depending on the site and the authority of the page. I usually wouldn’t worry too much if it takes a few days, especially for a newer site. Checking Search Console is probably the easiest way to see whether Google has picked it up.

Most articles get indexed within a couple days if the site’s healthy, sometimes same day.

I usually give it a full week before reaching out to anyone,, just to be sure it’s not just Google taking its time.
 
I usually wait a few days before treating it as a problem. If it’s still not indexed after that, I’ll check the page first and then contact the webmaster if needed.
