How important is the initial setup of a new YouTube channel?

I think the initial setup is quite important. Having a clear niche, good branding, an optimized channel description, and the basic settings properly configured from the start can make things much easier later. After that, consistent content and quality matter even more.

it can improve visibility but you need to add everything right away you can fill in those details later just make sure the description is clear since that part matters quite a bit

Based on my observation, verification by itself does not ensure that you can gain traction early. Content quality and engagement are what matter most.
 
I’d say the basic setup is worth doing properly from the start A clear description, niche and channel branding make things easier but I don’t think you need to over-optimize everything before uploading your first video
 
You can adjust the setup settings at any time. they aren't critical, so there's no need to spend too much time on them. It is better to focus on the content.
 
Initial setup sets the baseline for initial categorization, but it won't permanently ruin a channel if missing. Adding relevant channel keywords and a clean bio helps youtube’s algorithm understand your niche topic faster during your first few uploads.
 
It’s actually really important and does have an impact, bro. If your channel looks unpolished, it loses that professional vibe. Just remember to set the video to public when you upload it :)) Aside from that, the other basics aren't all that critical.

do not be afraid that u need to have everything perfectly set up before u upload anything. having a good profile nd a nice descrription is sufficient for now. as far as i see, the very first videos u will post will show utube ur audience better than any keywords for ur channel.
