anyone getting better results from shorts than long form lately?

Shorts can get quick views, but long videos usually give more watch time and better engagement.

However, shorts tend to trend more easily, but the engagement is not always so valuableI would compare retention and subscribers rather than views from both.

If it's a new channel, you'll notice a distinct difference in traffic between shor and long videos. YouTube really favors Reels from new channels.

I am getting totally different audience in shorts rather than my actual niche. I think it's a YouTube glitch that YouTube is sharing the shorts with the wrong audience.

Yeah, I’ve noticed some random spikes too. Shorts seem to be getting better reach lately, but long-form still brings more consistent results when the topic clicks.

Long form seems to has died lately, whereas shorts were like slot machines which gives crazy speed on new platforms and died right away.

didnt they annouce they are changing how views are counted so now anytime someone scrolls past it counts as a view or is that not been added yet?

When yt short are not so valuable , then I ask myself why Alex Hormozi punches out 480 shorts/reels to yt, IG, FB, Tiktok every week ?

Short-form videos are highly effective at attracting viewers, particularly when they focus on making a strong impression within the first three seconds; this allows the video to gain rapid traction and reach a wide audience.

With one of them you will maske the most sales (with manychat) , views or followers- what do you think? Then you will realize that you can monetize your followers only with ads.....

it is interesting how those abrupt view spikes happen without there being an apparent cause for them. while the short videos tend to have their viewersship skyrocket seemingly out of nowhere, it appears as though the longer videos rely more on viewers opting to watch them.i would also look at the retention rate of the audience nd the number of subscribers.

Its just giving the same results as before, there are no random spikes on my channels. What difference are you observing these days in which metircs?

It’s always been like that, but I don't make much because the RPM is extremely low.

Try posting both for a few weeks and compare watch time, retention and subscribers. That will give you a better idea of what works for your channel.

Absolutely, everyone has noticed lately that short videos achieve much better and faster results than much longer videos.

That is normal. Shorts reach a far wider chunk of your prospective audience than long form videos. Use shorts to bring in followers, especially if you can make your shorts into teasers for your long form videos, and monetize your channel through your long form videos.

Yeah, Shorts can get sudden view spikes because YouTube tests them with different audiences. Long-form videos often take longer to gain traction, but they can bring more consistent watch time if the topic connects with viewers.
