Is it worth buying Instagram followers for a new account?

I’m working on a new Instagram account and organic growth has been pretty slow so far. I’ve been thinking about buying a small number of followers just to give the account some initial social proof.
Has anyone here tried this recently? Does it actually help when you’re starting from zero, or is it better to focus entirely on organic growth?

I have seen mixed results with bought followers so I would be interested to hear recent experiences from others

After the recent updates, followers are dropping quickly. Probably not a right time to buy!

Fake followers don't like or comment, so your engagement rate drops and Instagram shows your posts to fewer people. That hurts a new account more than a low follower count does.
What tends to work better at the start is posting Reels in one clear niche and leaving real comments on similar accounts every day. Slower, but the followers you get actually stick.

It mostly depends on your overall goals and your page niche

Usually no buying reviews may make the numbers good to see but most are not real and engagement stays low.

why do people still risk this? where do the followers actually come from?

I wouldn’t bother with buying followers. The number will look bigger, but what’s the point if they’re dead accounts and don’t like or engage with anything? Better to grow slower and have a real, active audience

Focus on organic growth first, coz bought followers might boost the numbers but they wont bring real engagement or help much with reach. And then you can go on to the market place and check out for trusted panels and buy followers as per your requirements.

The problem is once you buy them you still have the same issue: where are the next real followers coming from? I’d put that effort into testing more content instead.

How much quantity are you looking to buy at the first place? That will decide what the answer should be.

If the goal is social proof, a clean profile with good posts can look more trustworthy than a big follower number.

Only purchase these profiles if the profile is only a lander for paying customers who require instant credibility. Otherwise buying fake subscribers will only hurts ur engagement rate from the get go, especially if u are looking to organically gain exposure through Reels.
