What tools would you find useful if someone coded them for you?

I have some passive income for a while now and did a coding task just for myself and was reminded how much I enjoy coding for coding's sake but of course it is satisfying to see it solve a problem.

So I might just do it for fun so what would be some tools marketers would find useful to automate these days?

I am out of the loop since I stopped around 2022/3 just when AI was starting to creep in to the picture so not sure how the landscape has changed in the meantime.

If there are lots of votes for a particular tool then I am thinking I can have a go at creating it. Relase 'open source'.

I feel I am competent coding most automation tasks now but I still feel I have only scratched the surface with what Python can do so it will be good learning for me as I would only code what was useful to solve that particular problem rather than continue to learn the language beyond that so the more projects the more I will learn.

In the AI era, tools iterate extremely fast. Writing and learning on the fly for specific scenarios is far more practical than waiting until you've mastered the frameworks before starting.

Not sure what you are saying here? that it is useless to code now or what?

For me A tool that checks GBP profiles for missing categories, wrong hours or stale posts across a batch of listings would save a lot of manual checking. Same for something that pulls review response gaps across multiple locations.
Simple stuff like that tends to get more real use than anything fancy.

I am not familiar with any of these, can you show me specifics? if it is a simple job I might do it as I mostly finished this script I was working for so free to do another project. :)

Learning to code is completely useless - also doing it by hand is a no-go nowdays.

Engineering and the ability to coordinate + improve on existing system will be a requires skill for at least the next 5-10 years.

That's just to answer you.

As for an idea of 'tools' - i go with: do something you would use yourself daily and saves you a lot of time. then you can sell it and market it.

It can be useless to society but still be rewarding to the individual. People still do manual woodworking when machines can do it faster and more efficiently. I suppose there is debate to be had about what makes something useful.

Playing games has no functional purpose, unless you call mental health a functional purpose but people like to play them.

Also how is coding 'no-go'? What do you mean? that it is redundant? I do not follow AI, can people just ask for it to create something they want and it does it? even with no coding knowledge?

a dead target checker for link lists. you buy a verified list, and a chunk is gone by the time you load it. something that takes the list, checks each target is alive and still accepting posts, and spits out the clean file. i do it half by hand with a script now. second one, an index checker for tier 1 links on a schedule, with an alert when a page drops out

JamesW9C's dead target checker is a brilliant shout, I'd vote for that one. I've bought a few verified lists over the years and the decay is brutal, honestly about a quarter of the targets on a week-old list were already dead by the time I got around to them. And my hand-rolled scripts always die silently halfway through, which is the annoying bit.

For the main question though, the thing I spend the most time doing manually and hate: content refresh triage. I run a couple of small affiliate sites, and deciding which old posts are worth updating versus which ones are just dead is a weekly headache. A tool that pulls a sitemap, checks each URL's current position against where it was 90 days ago, and spits out a shortlist of 'decaying but salvageable' pages, still ranking page 2 or 3 and sliding steadily, would save me hours. Screaming Frog plus GSC exports get you halfway there, but the last mile is always manual spreadsheet work.

And I agree with MoMarketing that the boring simple stuff is what actually gets used. The fancier the tool, the faster it ends up abandoned the first time Google changes something under the hood.

had experiences with mass group/channel post share on telegram which need help of bot to send mass messages on long list channels,it is good if can get good working bot support the operation.
Sure, automation will work with large channel lists, but Telegram limitations may cause problems. I would first test sending on a smaller list and watch out for failed deliveries.
