I have a question and would really appreciate an answer.

I would focus on long-term growth but try to monetize early enough to prove the niche actually makes money. No point building traffic for a year and only then finding out it doesn't convert.

If you were starting a brand-new site from scratch today, would you focus on long-term growth or fast monetization first?
i would think about focusing on growing first nd later on implementing easy to implement monetization strategies when there will be decent traffic levells. in the beginning i would prefer learning what users search for before earning money with a new site.

Nothing is guaranteed anymore. I wouldn't waste my traffic from the start.

I will monetise from the start, but won't irritate my audience with ads or promotional content.

I will be focusing on Long-term growth. You cannot monetize zero traffic. In order to monetize, you would need to get traffic, and it can take 6 to 8 months to grow enough for monetization.

I’d focus on long-term growth, but monetize early enough to validate the niche. There’s no point building traffic for a year only to discover it doesn’t convert.

I think both short term and long term have their own reasons. For me it really depends on your strategy for the project, and how much cost and risk you can take.
If your strategy is to do things at scale, test a lot and accept some failures, then fast monetization can make sense.
But if you are trying to grow one project step by step, then I would focus more on long term growth.
Personally, I wouldn't always choose one over the other. It depends on the strategy.:alien::alien::alien::alien::alien:

I would keep the first monetization method simple and spend most of the time making the site useful.
