My PPC Ads Get Clicks But People Leave the Site Quickly

This typically indicates that people are clicking on your ad, albeit the page they are taken to doesn't reflect the offer you made in the ad. Ensure that your ad copy and landing page message are aligned. Optimize page speed, convey the main offer, and keep the next step simple. Take some time to review your search terms and identify if the wrong visitors are coming to your site as a result of irrelevant clicks.

I'd check whether the landing page matches the ad message first, then look at page speed, mobile experience, and traffic quality. Compare bounce rate and conversions by keyword/source to see where the drop-off is happening.

i'd check whether the drop is consistent across every traffic segment before blaming either the ads or the page. break it down by device, geo, placement/source and ideally the actual ad that brought them in. if one segment bounces immediately while another behaves normally, you've got a traffic mismatch rather than a site-wide problem.

if they all behave badly, then i'd start looking much harder at message → landing page continuity.

First check the search terms and see which ones are bringing these quick exits. Pause the bad ones, then work on the landing page for the traffic thats actually converting.

Hi everyone,
I am having a problem with one of my PPC campaigns and I am not really sure where the issue is. the ads are getting a decent number of clicks, but a lot of visitors leave the website within few seconds. the CTR looks okay, so people are interested enough to click but they are not staying on the page.
I checked the landing page and nothing looks brokenm. now i am thinking if the problem could be the traffic, the ad message or the landing page itself.
can anyone help me with this? I want to know what would you check first?
I would start by comparing the actual search terms to the ad promise and landing page content. High CTR with quick exits tends to be a mismatch between what users expect to find and what they actually find.

If people leave within a few seconds, compare mobile and desktop seprately because one device may have the bigger issue.

Also check if there is too much text or too many options, because that can make people leave without taking action.

Compare new visitors with returning visitors. If only new visitors leave quickly, the ad targeting may need some work.
