So I'm 19 I've been running websites in many grey niche and niches in general for about 3 years now. Only 4 months ago did I realise about SEO and really giving it a shot. I have learned so much on my journey so far and I'm genuinely gathering £200-600 daily in sales now after 4 months. Id say I'm out the super noob territory and more off a noob ahah.

The problem I'm facing is google is keeping me stuck in the 30-40 range which I've just gotten too recently after months in the 70-80 pool. I've got semrush and stuff but i cant figure out how to reach #1 page. Some context, my friend in same niche and many other stores have domains maybe 3 months older than mine and are #1 for many high KD search terms with volume of like 30k monthly traffic to there sites. Verified there printing £5k daily from this its nuts.

Anyway. I've worked on backlinks, my technical like meta titles descriptions, schema, h1, tags bla bla bla all the stuff. I'm wondering if there's something that I'm missing in technical. Something that most people miss, AI misses & stuff. Maybe its the layout of the page ? the structure of things? value of content on the page or the amount or something or maybe I just have to let me product pages just sit there for the next few months to just let google build on them and slowly rank up.

I think the reason for the quickness is I see my friend with a domain 3 -4 months older than me, I view his GSC, semrush, sales and the growth expansion is unlike anyone has seen. AI says its impossible or un heard off ahah.

If there's any tips, anything anyone can do to help that really took them from the 30-40 ranges to top 3 keyword rankings then I would love to hear and connect.

I'm in the same boat - Really focused on pushing quality links, content etc and just can't seen to rank for any worth while keywords. Even low KD keywords, with quality links and authority placements. I do work within a grey niche, but not sure what im missing..

From what ive learned, use semrush & get the keywords you want. Make sure your targeting them correctly i used AI for this. Have the content on your product pages perfect so the structure is good, nothing is hidden and more. Make sure the content also helps the key words out. Make sure your product pages are not filled with paragraphs and spam and are more of a product page (this helps if you have lots of forum articals like me) and last off all allow your self to have the discipline to wait out 28 days after major SEO changes, I made the massive mistake of making SEO change waiting a week and making more and more and more. This makes it so you cannot learn or identify the real issues + it makes it so you cant see if your changes are making a real difference, Allow your page to build some time on google without change.

Make sure no cannablism too. This was a huge one for me ahaha

Youll be surprised on site SEO is just as valuable if not more than backlinks. you can have all the backlinks in the world but if your on page is dog shit google just isnt gunna keep recommending you because why would they when you competitor is better than you in every way

Im still a amature at all this, its just my tips from my journey so far

We've spent heaps of time correcting issues, adding keywords and queries etc to improve onsite SEO. Bit hard for us to see what really moves the needle when this is paired with backlinks being added etc.

The structure of our website hasn't really changed - We use drop boxes for a lot of our content so it isn't a brick wall of words, which i remember seeing that this is fine? Not sure if it really is, pretty sure google can still read it etc.

Majority of our traffic is either direct or branded searches, we're starting to see impressions come through for keywords but no clicks from these impressions even at position 3-9 on first page.

Domain age is rather new, so if this plays a big factor then its definitely another thing to add to the list.
