[GUIDE] Boost Rankings by Increasing Site Speed (3 Minutes)

Yeah, speed definitely matters, especially on mobile. I have had good results using WP Rocket to handle caching and a few speed optimizations.
I wouldn’t chase a perfect 100 though, a fast, smooth site is what really matters.

Thank you for the great recommendation! Page load speed is often overlooked, but it’s crucial for both user experience and search rankings. I’ll definitely try this tool to check and improve my website’s performance!

Profile backlinks are still great for diversifying your link profile and setting a strong trust foundation for a new site. Just make sure to keep them 100% manual and avoid using automated tools like GSA to stay clean in Google's eyes.

I usually check core Web Vitals, Image size, Unused JS/CSS , caching, Server response time, and mobile performance first.
Even small improvement can make the site feel much better for users.

I'm surprised at how often page load speed is underestimated, considering that it's a fundamental pillar of ranking.

Why? Negative Cycle!

Visitors often leave your site in the first few seconds = higher bounce rates and less time on pages.
It also means your pages do not deliver what the visitors want and hurt your Google trust score.

So your ranking either drops or stays low.

What message do you want to send to Google?
Your site is of such low quality that visitors constantly choose to leave it!

Good share! Site speed is definitely worth looking at, but I think the key is identifying what's actually slowing the site down instead of relying on a plugin alone.

Image optimization, unused CSS, JavaScript loading, and server response time can all make a difference. I also agree that the theme and hosting matter a lot.

One thing I'd add is to check Core Web Vitals before and after making changes, especially LCP, INP, and CLS. A higher PageSpeed score is useful, but it's also important to make sure the site feels faster for real users.

Has anyone tested this setup on a site with a heavy theme or a lot of third-party scripts?
