Are PBN backlink still useful now?

the footprint stuff is what kills most of these for me, not the content quality. if all ur pbn sites sit on the same host or show up together in reverse whois its an easy find regardless of how aged the domains are. spread hosting and stagger the buys if ur gonna do it at all

i think relevancy matter more now. If the site you are getting a backlink from is relevant in the same niche, then it can pickup rankings

PBNs can still have an impact but the quality of the network matters a lot If the domains are weak overused or full of unrelated links they can do more harm than good I’d focus more on relevance and genuine site quality than just DA

depends on the pbn honestly. the cheap ones usually sit on the same hosting with the same footprint so they all get burned together

DA goes up from almost any link so i wouldnt judge a pbn by that

Of course. But know your opsec and build your own. Also it matters hugely as to what you point those links. Use parasites if needed and funnel the traffic as needed.

hello all,

i want to ask about pbn backlink. Can PBN Backlinks still be used to up domain authority? or PBN backlinks actually leave a spam on a domain?

thanks all
PBN links do still influence third-party metrics like DA/DR, but that do not improve actual Google rankings. They also carry more risk. So, focus on relevant, genuine links rather than PBNs just to boost domain authority.

Yes—but PBN (Private Blog Network) backlinks are generally a risky and increasingly poor SEO strategy in 2026.

PBN backlinks may increase metrics temporarily, but they carry spam/penalty risks and are generally not a safe long-term SEO strategy.

Yes—but PBN (Private Blog Network) backlinks are much less useful and much riskier than they used to be.

DA and rankings are separate things, so a PBN can move a third-party score without proving real SEO gain.

I think it depends a lot on how the network is built and the overall link profile. I would also look at relevance and link quality rather than focusing only on domain authority.

PBN backlinks can still be effective for SEO, but they’re quite risky. I no longer use PBN backlinks for SEO; instead, I rely more on guest posts.

PBNs can still move rankings, but using them purely to boost metrics like DA isn't ideal. Focus on clean hosting IP diversity, unique content, and hidden WHOIS if you plan to use them safely.

Of course they are. Id say PBNs are the most costeffective way to build links to your website. 1 guest post could cost starting from 50-70 usd per 1 link. Within this budget you can find 3-4 dropped domains with some backlinks and create links from the main pages to your website.
In truth, PBNs may appear to be relatively less expensive than guest posting campaigns, however, the quality of domains, their history, as well as hosting fees, can become quite pricey.
