Just came across this video from Mark Tilbury and thought I’d make a quick post about it.

The thumbnail says $300/day but that wasn’t actually the main challenge in the video.

His goal was to see if he could make $1,000 within 7 days by using Claude and other AI tools to create an AI influencer, build an audience around it and monetize that audience.

And he made things a little more interesting right from the beginning

He said that if he failed to make the $1,000 within the 7 days, he would give $1,000 to someone in the comments.

Maybe a little too confident at the start : D

The first thing he did was research.

He looked at AI influencer accounts that were already getting attention and tried to understand what people were doing to actually make money from them.

There were different angles.

Some were getting brand deals, some were selling products, one example involved an older woman AI character around health-related content, while others were built around things like dating and relationships.

So instead of randomly creating an AI influencer and hoping it worked, he first looked at what people were already responding to.

From there, he created 3 different AI influencer concepts using Claude and Higgsfield.

Claude was basically doing a lot of the brain work.

Ideas, character concepts, scripts, content direction and so on.

Higgsfield was then used to create the AI visuals and videos.

He created Instagram accounts for the characters and started posting content to see which one people responded to best.

And something worth mentioning here is that he only really tested this through Instagram.

He even mentioned that he could have used TikTok as well, which obviously could have given the content even more reach and another source of traffic.

So even the experiment itself wasn't really using every possible distribution channel available.

The first stage was basically testing.

Let the market tell you which idea people actually care about.

After a few days, one of the characters was clearly performing better than the others, so he focused on the one that was already getting a response.

Test first. Build around what gets a response.

Then came the monetization part.

He decided to create a digital product around that character. It was basically a 30-day challenge kinda course, priced somewhere around $12 after the discount.

And even the digital product itself was largely created using Claude.

That’s another part I found interesting.

It wasn't just...
Use AI to make the influencer.

It was also...
Use AI to research the idea, develop the character, create the content, write the scripts and then help create the actual product being sold.

He set up the store, promoted the product through the account and eventually made somewhere around $276 during the experiment.

So he didn't reach the $1,000 goal within the 7 days.

He also admitted that he probably should have given himself a longer timeline.

Because the interesting thing is that the method didn't necessarily fail.

He had already created an audience, generated sales and proved that people were willing to buy the product.

He just didn't reach $1,000 within seven days.

Give the same thing another few weeks and who knows where it ends up.

And that's really where the video got me thinking.

There might obviously be things happening behind the scenes that weren't shown in the video.

Maybe he already understands social media much better than the average person.

Maybe there was more research involved.

Maybe some things were easier for him because he already understands marketing, content and business.

And I think that's something people sometimes forget when watching videos like this, reading case studies or even taking courses.

Someone might show you:

Step 1 → Step 2 → Step 3 → Money

But that doesn't necessarily mean they're showing you every little decision, mistake, adjustment and thought process that happened between those steps.

Sometimes you just have to take the idea, understand the concept behind it and then run with it using your own imagination.

And honestly, it feels like there has never been an easier time to experiment with different ways of making money online if you can think creatively.

Not necessarily with AI influencers either.

That's not really why I'm sharing the video.

It could be anything.

You have Claude, ChatGPT, image generators, video generators, automation tools, website builders, social media platforms and God knows how many other tools sitting there.

A lot of them are even free to start using.

Claude itself was free for what he was doing.

A lot of the other tools had free options too.

The main real expense in the experiment seemed to be paying for Higgsfield.

So the financial barrier to simply testing an idea has become ridiculously low.

Now, could the average person replicate exactly what he did and make money within 7 days?

Maybe. Maybe not.

If it took him 7 days, someone completely new to this might need a few weeks or even a few months.

But I don't really think that's the point.

The bigger takeaway for me is:

If you can research an idea, create the product, create the marketing content, build the social media presence and start generating sales using tools that are available to pretty much everyone... there are probably a ridiculous number of things you could experiment with right now.

You might fail at the first one.

The second one might go nowhere.

The third one might randomly start getting traction.

That's kind of the game.

And I think we're reaching a point where the tools themselves are becoming less of the advantage.

Everybody has access to them.

The bigger advantage is probably going to be who can come up with interesting ideas, actually test them and stick with them long enough to figure out what works.

Anyway, just came across the video and had a few thoughts about it, so figured I'd throw them on here really quick.

See you on the next one : )

Cheers.

OP are you for real, that guy makes money from uploading videos not from what he teaches lol

Yes, I know that... and I tried to make that pretty clear in the post.

It’s not really about him specifically, it’s more about the idea and concept from the video.

I even mentioned that we don’t know what might have gone on behind the scenes that wasn’t shown : D

I know how these things work, mate... It’s typical YouTuber stuff, so I’m definitely not completely carried away by it : D

Even the whole “I’ll give $1,000 to someone in the comments if I fail” thing is obviously also a good way to get more comments and engagement on the video.

So yeah, it goes back to what I was saying in the post.

I’m not really focused on whether Mark personally makes his money from this method. I just found the idea and the process he showed interesting : )

the useful bit in that video is the research step, not the ai character. he looked at what was already getting attention before making anything. most people i see do it the other way round, build the influencer first then look for an audience. also 276 in 7 days with his existing audience pushing it, a nobody would be at 0

Yeah... you get it.

It's about picking out something useful from the video itself... It doesn't have to be particularly about the AI influencer niche either

There’s never been a better time for failing fast. A google ai subscription gives you notebook Gemini and flow. A 30 day free trial of Canva gives the the ability to bulk create and Instagram is on easy street if you know what you are doing.

Well that's so cool dude, but unfortunately that's too long for me to read bro

i would take it seriously, but i can't, this old guy is just another guru making money selling the shovels to the cattle looking for gold

the most useful part is definitely: create a youtube channel, provide people with ideas and bank from it, selling dreams

I noticed he has a very effective content creation strategy, from the headlines to the catchy phrases that attract viewers. Even after reading your analysis, we can learn many lessons about business ideas and potentially make money from them if we are willing to start learning and truly embrace new things.

I'm telling you, mate... the possibilities are limitless.

Anything's possible now. You gotta dream like you've never seen obstacles : D

I won't take that... you must read the whole post : D

I think one of those legendary images of yours would have been nice to illustrate what you're saying here.

I can just imagine how it would look in my head : D

Yup yup... like you can see, many people always make posts on here about what to do, how to make money, and stuff.

That's the main reason I posted this here in the section.

It's all part of helping people see some possibilities. If it really piqued their interest, they could utilize the idea and run wild with it.

Nice breakdown, cheers for writing it up properly. I think the part most people sleep on with the AI influencer thing is the distribution side rather than the creation side. Spinning up a decent-looking character in Higgsfield or similar takes an afternoon now, anyone can do it. Actually getting Instagram to show it to people is the real bottleneck. Meta has been pretty aggressive lately about suppressing low-effort AI content in Reels, and a brand-new account posting synthetic humans is swimming upstream against that.

That said, the research-first approach in the video is the genuinely transferable bit. He didn't fall in love with his own character designs — he let the engagement data kill two of them and doubled down on the winner. That's the same discipline that works with affiliate sites, faceless channels, anything. Test cheap, read the numbers, scale what responds.

One thing I'd add though: the $276 figure is a bit misleading because it strips out the value of his existing experience. Someone starting from zero should probably expect the 'test cheap' phase to take months rather than days. Still, the cost of running the experiment is basically zero now, so there's not much excuse for not trying it.

Thank you for your nice words and for actually doing a good job of breaking the post down into a TL;DR for someone like @Topiano : D

You have just added some very nice insight to this and also showcased more of what I was actually trying to convey by posting this.
