I copied a landing page from a competitor that was working well. I cleaned the code and put it on my own domain. But after I started Google Ads, my account got suspended for "Circumventing Systems." Did Google detect the HTML/code or the tracking links? How do you guys clean copied landing pages before using them for Google Ads?

The landing page needs to be unique. If Google sees the same page with campaigns launched from different accounts, it will naturally have questions about your account.

If you think the suspension is wrong, fix the landing page and submit an appeal with clear details about what was changed.

Fix landing page do clocking and submit appeal

You'll need some advanced cloaking. Google candetect such HTML codes so yes, that's the reason in my opinion.

didn't edit?

I think it is hard to know which signal triggered it because copied content plus tracking setup can raise issues so using a fully original page is safer.

Could be more than the HTML, check the domain, redirects and tracking setup too.
yes, but the thing is that most of the time people pay attention only to HTML, not to the technical part. redirect chain, canonical and tracking can very well mess up your data.

you would need cloaking for this or make the landing page fully original, otherwise it will be hard to run it safely.

1. Check the site for sensitive words.
2. Recheck the creative.
3. Set up cloaking and test with another account. :D

The issue is probably bigger than copied HTML. Check redirect chains, tracking templates/final URL mismatch, domain history, and any scripts firing different content.

Rebuild the LP with original content/branding first, then appeal from the same account. Hope this helps!
