Meta limits free shared links for pages to max. 2 per month

Meta is pushing something new called Meta One.

Right now you can add links to 2 posts a month. That's it. After that, you're capped unless you pay. Both posts and comments.
This includes non-verified business pages and Professional Mode profiles. This is being rolled out something you may not be affected yet. Personally I'm not yet but I fear the worst for the coming weeks. I've noticed this is already rolled out in the US and UK mostly.

To get unlimited links, you have to subscribe to Meta Max Plan for $499.99 A MONTH. The enshittification continues. I've spent years and tens of thousands of $ to grow my pages and now they are basically becoming useless.

Sadly this mostly affects small publishers and businesses as this will only work if you have a page with a couple of million followers at least. And even then it's still a very high price to pay to post.

If you guys discovery any workarounds, please share them here! Hopefully we can help each other.

IMO meta is so greedy doing this kind of move, don't you agree? And basically small publishers are getting f*ked.

$499 per month is absurd. Now if it would be half of that and would basically be valid for your entire profile, I could live with it (still a greedy move but whatever). But i's PER PAGE, basically wiping out all publishers except for big news outlets.

It seems for now it's only happening on some US & UK pages. And some still have the ability to post a link in comments. We'll have to anxiously wait and see what happens. I hope it causes so much outrage they will reverse this move

And have you checked? Posts created by this app are added without any problems after the limit of 2 links at the finish line is exhausted.
This solves the problem much cheaper.

I had one of my page affected by this today and I am in EU, for now only workaround i have found is when i try to publish or schedule post i put it like this: yourdomain .com/page you put space between your domain and .com and it doesn't recognize it as link and therfore it is not clickable but that is the best that I have figure out so far. This is terrible update for all page owners I would understand if subscription is for all pages or for each page 15$ but 499$ PER PAGE is insanity. Hope this helps

Does it still work for you to put the link in the comments? Or is it blocked entirely? That's my standard method to drive traffic. I see some mixed stories. People not being able to post a link anywhere, and some still in the comments.

Unfortunately people are going to be too lazy to copy + paste a link. This will kill 90% of my traffic

For me it works to put link in the comments, stories are also good, I would suggest you to make group for your page and bro tip make it private so that way t3 countires are not able to join, and groups are not affected by this meta update, I can publish link there as page, we will see I noticed that it began lowering price for that subscription. Right now makes more sense to run ads than paying over 400$ for page links..

All in all, a good solution with groups, there is even better reach and the group can also be promoted.

$499 per month is a considerable expense for small businesses. This information already seems to have many drawbacks. Its implementation will likely face much opposition. People will try to circumvent it by posting links in comments or splitting the post into smaller parts – would that be more effective?
