I want to link my site from my clients site so I get some of their DA (with their consent obviously).

I was thinking about writing a little paragraph within the about us page but it dont fit at all.

I dont want to have it within the footer as link juice will not be as effective AND doing it repeatedly throughout every client might come across to Google as spam.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

contextualization is something that you could use if your website fits on the page. Otherwise, forcing your site into 'about' or footer sections would be quite clear to see.

Place the link only where it makes sense for visitors, such as a relevant case study, project page, partner page, or useful resource. Avoid forcing it just to pass authority, because relevance and user value matter more.

I’d include it in a relevant case study, project page or resource where the link adds real value and not just force it into the About Us or footer.

A more natural approach is to only place the link where it genuinely makes sense for the client’s visitors. For example, if you contributed to a project, partnership, case study, or resource mentioned on their site, a contextual link there would fit much better than forcing one into the About page or footer.

If the link is genuinely relevant to the client’s site, a contextual mention on a useful page could make more sense than forcing it into the About or footer. The key is making it useful for visitors first.

I don’t think guest posts are automatically better than niche edits the quality of the placement matters more. If the site has real traffic, strong topical relevance, a clean profile and the link fits naturally on an indexed page, either can work. i choose based on link type

If the link doesnt fit naturally on the about page, dont force it. You could add it where your work is mentioned, such as a portfolio or project section.
that keeps the link relevant to the page and useful for visitors too.

You shouldn’t put the backlink in the About Us page only because of the link itself.

Using a natural mention within an actual piece of content like a case study, resource or even blog post is usually better.

Additionally, you should focus on creating quality content that provides value rather than DA alone since one natural link can mean much more.

Should have mentioned that I made their website and want to link to MY website where I introduce my services lol, my bad

Provided that it fits appropriately i think that this piece should go in a blog entry or resource page rather than in the about us section would it be better to have a contextual link from an article?
