So I recently tried to create a directory on my Wordpress website with the intention to try to rank with the website since the original domain was doing well before the recent Google penalization

But turns out this method is blocked because my post on the newly created directory has been indexed but it’s not appearing on Google …

I guess Google is doing exactly what Thanos did to the universe in Avengers when he wiped out half of humanity. Google is busy wiping out everyone . *sigh*

i do not want to make the assumption that the entire directory is blocked simply bcz i can not see the pages.the pages can be indexed by google nd not have any search presence at all.i would start out by looking at the content on each listing.if it is mostly names, linksnd copied information, then google may not have anything worth rankking for.

before blaming the directory itself, first check what you mean by “Google penalization.” in GSC go to Security & Manual Actions > Manual actions. if there’s actually a site-wide action there, putting new pages in a subdirectory on the same domain isn’t going to get around it

if that report is clean, inspect one of those URLs and check the Google-selected canonical, then look in Performance for impressions. if it’s getting impressions, it isn’t blocked - it’s indexed and just ranking too low to notice

but even being indexed does not necessarily guarantee ranking. my next step would be to check the listing data nd GSC impressions.
