Is Gemini showing an image to explain every query?

Weirdly it’s started showing image example Claude - so it showed Claude image, then some AI image for other queries and I asked it not to generate Images it doesn’t stop lol! Is this happening to you’ll too? Any fix for this

Looks like Gemini is deciding when images are useful instead of following the prompt every time. Have you tried turning image results off in settings or does it still ignore that?

if you’re on a personal Google account, the closest persistent option is Settings & help > Personal Intelligence > Instructions for Gemini. add something like “Reply in text only unless I explicitly ask for an image”

Google pro - will try the steps - I had asked it not to use images yet weirdly it’s using

Gemini Web app is highly stupid and is loaded with a shit ton of system prompts
and consistently enjoys generating images the moment it detect a slight phrase that can be image generated.
Need to buckle it down with pre-loaded instructions

I’ve noticed this too. It seems more useful for visual or comparison-based queries, but for simple questions it can feel unnecessary. I’d rather have an option to turn those image examples off completely.

I use the free version and it does the same I ask it to write a prompt and it returns me an image

It's a shit because in free version there is only three image generations for day and if I waste them not only I can't create the images I would need but also it blocks me to work with images as input
