Editing comments doesn't work anymore any fix / workaround?

I've been doing some comments where I leave a comment for a few days, weeks and edit later with brand mention or link but seems like this doesnt work at all anymore? Anyone else having the same issue and maybe found a workaround?

A lot of sites caught onto this trick lately. Instead of editing old comments, maybe try building up an aged profile first and dropping the link naturally in a fresh comment? Takes more time but works better.

reddit been tracking edit patterns for months now, they see it as bot activity. best thing ive found is just dont edit at all, post fresh comments instead. way less risky for the account

Yeah, I’ve seen this get much harder to pull off lately. Adding a brand or link weeks later can easily trigger spam filters or moderation. I’d focus on making the original comment genuinely useful and only include a link when it naturally fits.

yeah reddit pay attention to repeated edit patterns and that can make activity look automated.safer to avoid constant edits and just make fresh comments when needed

Yeah this stopped being reliable for me too. Probably better to make the original comment useful and mention the brand naturally if it actually fits.

Not editing works a bit, but still doesnt work like it used to. No one has any tips? Maybe the AI filters target keywords or something

The way you’re doing it has been completely detected and blocked by platforms because this is typical spam behavior.

Same here. I think platforms have become much better at spotting those "value first, link later" edits. A genuine contribution from the start seems to work better now. The old ninja link drop trick is slowly becoming ancient history.
