What SEO strategy is working best for new websites in 2026?

I'm still learning SEO and I'm curious about what is actually working for newer websites.

Would you focus first on content, technical SEO, topical authority, internal linking, or backlinks?

I'd really like to hear from people who have tested these strategies on real websites and what gave them the best results.

For a new site Id start with solid content and internal linking. Once theres a good base then I slowly build relevant backlinks.

tbh topical authority is everything for a fresh domain right now. nail a tight niche cluster before you even look at backlinks imo.
 
Building strong topical authority by publishing highly specific content and interlinking it correctly works best for the new made websites.

In case of a newly established website the best way to goes is ignoring backlinks in the beginning and concentrating on spamming low competition longtails within a tight niche.

For new sites start by creating a topic cluster and see what gets GSC impressions; then focus on promoting those pages through internal and external links.
