100%. Numbers alone don’t really mean anything when there is no traffic to that website or if it isn’t topical. I would also make sure that there is history and indexed pages.
yeah, easily built links are not worth that much alone. i’d prefer to get fewer links from sites with some traffic than just get numbers./
If a website is highly authoritative and close to your niche in general it might be worthy to get backlinks from it. You should try to avoid getting spammy or low quality links though.
Imo, focus less on backlink type and more on earned naturally and relevant to page. usually forum or blog comments etc have little SEO value when done just for links. let focus be more on relevant mentions, useful community participation, digital PR, linkable assets, and genuine outreach. Quality with relevance matter more than building n.of.links.
It is crucial for free link to be relevant or to bring referral traffic however, profile, PDF nd comment links are helpful for statistics only.
in the beginning of this process, instead of tracking the number of backlinks, one can try evaluating how likelly it is that a person will click on that partticular backlink. forum topics, niche websites, useful web resources nd mentions make much more sense than any kind of random links to PDF files, pictures nd comments.
