Posting multiple times a day is good or bad

Movie reels are crowded, so the hook matters a lot. Don’t just post scenes, give viewers a reason to care: a hot take, hidden detail, ranking, recommendation, or relatable caption.

I think 1 to 2 strong posts are better than posting too much for a new page testing different content matters more than posting more often.
 
2-3 a day won’t automatically kill your reach… if you actually have 2-3 good reels post them, if not don’t force it. and 2 viral from 35 on a 1 month page is not bad at all

yes true, always Quality over qantity
1 reel can give 10k views
but 5 reels also cant give 1k views

thats the difference in quality over quantity

They are crowded bt the audiance is very very huge, ever other person is a movie fan favourite and if the song and hook is correct it will definately go viral

Reels don’t split an audience, each one gets tested on its own batch of viewers regardless of what else you posted that day. So posting more is more shots at it. The reason people say quality over quantity is that a run of weak posts trains the algorithm on the wrong audience, not that they cannibalise each other.

2 out of 35 is honestly a normal hit rate at one month old. Go back to those two and work out what they had in common, the first three seconds especially, then make more of that instead of more of everything.

One thing to watch on movie reels, that’s someone else’s footage and pages doing it get wiped without much warning.

I fall for this every single time, so even if this sample size is 2, I'd go for something like this. Even if many people just literally doomscroll, those that notice it and stop on your video are probably more likely to engage or follow you.
 
i think posting 2-3 times a day is probaly a little too much, especally for a new page. i would just stick with posting once a day for now and see how it goes. there is no need to rush and post alot of content right away, better to give each post some time and see how people react to it. if that video already went viral pretty quikly, then i think your probably doing things in the right direction anyway, so i would keep the same approach for now and see what happens

I am translating @grigoree 's post, but grigoree, I'm pretty sure there must be a rule somewhere to post only in English:

I think posting 2-3 times a day is probably a bit much, especially for a new page. I think it's better to start with once a day and see how it goes. There's no need to rush into posting a lot of content at once; it's better to take your time with each post and see how people react. If that video went viral quickly, then I think you're on the right track, so just keep going and see what happens.
 
Before touching frequency, know that Instagram treats reposted material differently from your own. They've said plainly that recommendations favour original content, and that accounts built on other people's work get less distribution while credit is pushed toward whoever actually made it. A page of film clips runs into that on every single upload.

This makes absolute sense tbh. It's similar to YouTube not monetizing music videos for you but for the copyright owner.

Let me tell you from experience: with new accounts, for a few posts, the Instagram algorithm tests if your content is good enough to show more people and to what niche the content should be promoted. I would say posting 1 video daily would be good, and with high quality. Don't hurry for success, as it takes time, but stay for the long term.

Yeah but i have heard alot that posting at the specific time dosent mean anything, like if it wants to get viral it will go viral for sure...
 
Posting 2–3 times/day doesn’t dilute your audience, but 1 quality post/day is enough for sustainable growth
 
2-3 times a day is totally fine. you can also push to 5 times a day, just space your content with enough time in between.

and getting two reels to go viral is also good achievement you should be happy. to retain those who are engaging make sure you have a good call to action or a reason for them to stick around. build anticipation at the end or through captions so they get fomo if they dont follow you

I think if posting multiple times were bad, why would Instagram give creators this option? There is no problem with posting multiple times; just take care of the quality.
 
2 viral reels out of 35 on a brand new page is actually pretty good. spacing out 2-3 reels a day (few hours apart) gives you more lottery tickets with the algorithm without hurting your reach

its been 60 till now and still no result my man......
but i dont really have content to post 2 3 reels everyday thats the main issue also
