Applying AI to content production (scriptwriting, editing, thumbnails) by 2026 will shorten video production time, but might it also lower viewer retention rates due to content saturation?

i think of ai as more of a time saving tool nd not something that takes the place of creativity. ai can take care of the mundane aspects but the moment u feel that there is no originality in terms of the hook or the story or the style then it becomes clear very quicklly.

I think so. Overall, it saves a lot of time, but the content quality remains the same, so it will eventually become monotonous.

AI can save a ton of time but i don't think viewers care how fast the video was made. if the content feels generic retention will probably suffer regardless of the production method.

I think people are now too dependent on AI and there are no original ideas left.

AI really does save a lot of effort, but overusing it makes every piece look pretty much the same and immediately loses its character; at this rate, I guess I’ll have to add a little genuine personality to keep things from getting stale.

I believe that faster, higher-volume production can lead to a better overall ratio of successful videos. However, if too many channels rely on identical scripts, voiceovers, thumbnails, and editing styles, viewers will grow bored, causing the content to flop. Even so, standout channels will still manage to maintain their position. While AI tools save time due to their ease of use, they cannot replace the entire creative process

It is safe to say that tbh ai does save me lots of tym with scripts and thumbnails however, if the first 30 seconds do not impress the retention rate becomes lower no matter how fancy the video

AI itself won't kill retention. Generic AI content will since viewers notice fast when every video has the same script and editing style.

saturation is definitely going to be more of an issue than the AI itself. if the ai enables u to create 10 videos insstead of 2, theres no doubt that there would be increased competition in terms of viewership. however, a good video with a compelling concept is capable of sustaining the viewers interest.ultimately i would rather concentrate on originality nd usability of the video than its production process.

AI helps me to save lots of editing tym but once the script becomes too general people attention spans tends to decrease rapidly.

AI really does help us free up a huge amount of labor to increase the number of experiments, but what creates a sustainable difference that keeps audiences coming back still has to be the creator’s thinking, aesthetic taste, and unique “flair”.thank

Do you have any suggestions for making the first 30 seconds more impactful and increasing viewer retention?

That's right, AI videos have very similar content, it's really boring

Workflows in content production are accelerated by AI, but if artists rely on generic, fully automated outputs, this might lead to content saturation and lower viewer retention.

I think it will be effective if the content is unique and interesting. Currently, a lot of creators are doing the same, and it's giving good results.

That's right. Creators rely so heavily on AI that the content ends up looking the same; it loses its unique character and appeal.

AI makes production way easier but now everyone can pump out similar videos. If the content feels generic people will bounce quick, so the human angle and hook still matters alot.

Definitely possible. AI makes production faster, but when everyone uses the same templates, viewers notice quickly. The real advantage will be using AI for speed while keeping the ideas and storytelling genuinely human.
