Hi guys, I'm sincerely trying to understand how Reddit's filters work. I have an established account with decent karma. I tried leaving a normal comment that mentioned a brand, with no link, and it was immediately removed by Reddit's filters. Then I came across another account that is only about 6 days old and has almost no karma. That account was able to leave a comment containing an actual link, and the comment is still up. The text itself even looks somewhat AI-generated. How should this be understood?
What happened to Reddit? There have a lot of bans.

Older accounts can get filtered whereas new acc gets banned. I think
i think they are using AI to track down spams, thats why bans have increased. I think the system missed that account or maybe it will be tracked down too

Reddit is getting stricter and stricter day by day it is also because of its shitty ai filters. I have got many accounts banned lately even a 100k one in last 2-3 months only.

karma and account age doesnt matter much anymore, reddit changed their detection like 6 months back imo. what really matters now is clean behavior patterns and proper warmup. ive got accounts with 50k karma banned but some new burner accounts with proper warming last way longer

reddit filters don't seem to judge every comment purely on how it reads account history and reputation can matter too

Reddit has been getting stricter lately. A lot of bans seem to come from their automated filters, sometimes even without an obvious reason. New accounts especially need to be careful and build some history before doing too much.

karma is only one part of it reddit and individual subs can look at account reputation the community it self and the content being posted.

Karma is not as important as many would like to believe, it's easy to get over 10k karma there within days.
A one month account with 50 karma and decent comments has by far better standing than an account with 10k farmed karma.

I wouldn't assume the newer account is getting a free pass different subs can have very different filters and thresholds.

Reddit has been aggressively cracking down on automated accounts, VPN usage, and ban evasion lately. If you're running fresh accounts on shared IPs or spamming links, their detection filters catch it almost instantly now.
