how to Detect Proxy or Fake Traffic?

the hardest traffic to detect is genuine mobile rotating IPs because many real users share that same IP. so detection tools may flag it as dirty but actually platforms still considers it clean.

the real signal is your behavior. u need to show mouse moment, scroll a little and read some pages etc. if its all instant and.u dont scroll then it will look fishy

I agree, mobile IPs are probably the most reliable. But the browser you use and its configuration are also very important. I’ve worked with sports betting platforms where the anti-fraud protection is quite strong, and this combination worked well for me.

detect proxy or fake traffic by checking IP reputation, VPN/proxy usage, device fingerprints, traffic patterns, and unusual user behavior

Yeah, IP alone isn’t enough. I’d check proxy/VPN/Tor status, ASN/ISP, IP reputation, geo mismatch, and behavior (session duration, pages viewed, clicks, repeated patterns).

FraudDefense looks useful for this—it supports proxy/VPN/Tor detection, IP reputation and risk scoring, plus device/behavior signals.

check for user engagement and add goals...

For example if you expect 1 sign up from 1000 visitors, if you didnt reach that, its either bot or low quality traffic which is same IMO.
Yeah, but I'd also verify the source and intntion behind that before pointing fingers at bots. Poor conversions may constitute poor traffic, but it might also be a misfit between the offer and the audience.
