Has anyone here actually used anonymous domain registration?

I know regular domain privacy already hides some details, but I'm wondering if anonymous registration is really worth it.

If you've used it before, how was your experience? Any reason you prefer it?

Not entirely sure what the main purpose would be.

I assume the regular WHOIS privacy should protect one from unwanted disclosure.

And if there would be some sort of a legal complaint regarding the domain, than an anonymous registrar wouldn't save the domain itself from blacklisting or other type of penalty.
 
Domain privacy has been used by me before, and it is normally sufficient for most projects. Anonymous registration could be added on top of that, but I would only use it if privacy was truly an issue.
 
I have two domains with njalla. my experience so far has been good.
 
I always register my domains with privacy protection enabled. It helps keep competitors from snooping on my websites.
 
I probably use it for private project depends on what the domain is for.
 
Since I run blogs, I don’t really need to register my domains with privacy protection. The important information about the domain owner is already hidden by default, so there’s no need to pay extra for additional privacy protection.
 
Not exclusively, but I’ve setup hosting using Njalla before, they’re non-KYC and also take cryptocurrencies as payments to buy domain & hosting.

They started busting/taking down domains of mine 2 years ago. Sadly Njalla is not trusted anymore as soon complaints reach them by my experience

I did not use anonymous domains myself but I am using luxhost for my VPS it been so good for me . They have anonymous domain registration too.
 
Sometimes I choose to keep my domain registration details private. However, I think this is only necessary when working in industries that are considered questionable or potentially harmful.
