so let's say, I have 3-4 channels in kids niche, and they all dead. by dead I mean, in around 2017 there was an update and youtube demonetized all my channels, varying from 1mln to 3mln subs. I was on nerves those days and got mad and deleted all the content from the channel. started other channels and went along with them. from time to time, I'm trying to upload some videos, but not seriously, like 2-3 videos, and again focus back to my main channel. if I upload some content now, it gets around 200-500 views long format, is it possible to revive those channels back? I mean algorithmically, is it possible that their history have had been reset? It's okay if I need to work on those channels as if they are new, I'm just curious if they are not under shadowban or something.

That's a bad title... can you please share with me something different that portrays what you want to accomplish?

Deleting all content basically reset everything, so those subs don’t really help much anymore.

No shadowban, just no active signals.

If you post consistently again, it can come back, but don’t expect instant results from old glory.

Yes, your old channels aren’t shadowbanned. After deleting content and long inactivity, the algorithm treats them almost like new. To revive, post consistently, focus on retention, and treat them as fresh channels.

Yes .but it depends on why it “died”. Kids’ channels have unique challenges, especially with YouTube’s stricter policies in 2026, so reviving one isn’t as simple as posting again.

If you are willing to do the work, then yes your channels can be revived. Keep in mind there's more competition right now than it was on 2017. So you do need too notch content, mix shorts for reach and long form videos in order to monetize the audience.

YT does not permanently shadowban channels like that, but deleting all content basically reset their momentum. algo treats them almost like new channels, so consistent uploads and strong retention are what will wake them up again

the resetting of the old history should not be considered an issue for now bcz the new videos would be judged according to viewer reactions anyway. given that u are already receiving several hundreds of views from the rare video upload i would treat this fact as an indication to perform a test. let’s choose one channel nd try to conduct some testts with new content to see whether it gets better over time.

Yes, that's definitely possible, but do not upload the same content this time. In the recent updates, if there are any videos that you reupload, they can not help you grow. Make some new, unique content in the same niche and keep uploading. This time, do not leave it, and do it with dedication and regularly. You will definitely be able to revive the channel with quality content.

I'd try posting consistently for a while before giving up, low views alone dont mean the channel is shadowbanned.

If you post content regularly and do livestreams, your channel will become active again. However, this may take some time.

I don't think there will be any hidden restrictions left, feel free to return after a long break. What really matters is whether your content is still liked and welcomed by the audience.
