yeah refreshing old content has worked pretty well for me. especially when the page already has some history.

Both can help, but it depends on why the page lost rankings.
I’d refresh pages that still have value and prune or merge pages that are thin, outdated, or overlapping with other content.

i believe that refreshing will surely come in handy for cases wherein the page is already generating impressions but the infformation within the page needs to be updated. but when it comes to pruning i would be a lot more careful about it since the reason for deleting some pages might just be bcz they are not ranking at all, which is not always a good thing.

yesh it is definitely worthwhile to test the page, especially if it is old nd has gradually accumulated irrelevant or redundant information. at times the problem does not lie in lack of infformation but rather in the abundance of irrelevant information.i would benchmark the page against the existing ranking, get rid of everything which no longer relates to the page’s inttent, improve the relevant information, and track it.
