How to verify if proxy IP is really fresh and virgin, not fake claims?

Almost all IP proxy sellers claim that they offer fresh or virgin IPs, but in most cases that isn’t true.

Are there any providers that genuinely sell real, unused static residential IPs suitable for Fb, yt and other social media platforms? Any recommendations?

Also, how can you be sure that you are the only person using a given IP and that it isn’t being shared with other customers? Many companies say their IPs are not shared, but how can you verify this yourself?

Honestly most "virgin IP" claims are marketing. If they have a pool of thousands of IPs, those IPs have been used.

One of the ways to verify if an IP is shared: check it on ipqualityscore or scamalytics before using it. High fraud score = burned by previous users. Also run the same IP check a week later - if the fraud score jumped, someone else is using it.

For social media, real dedicated mobile proxy IPs from actual SIM cards tend to be cleanest since they're tied to physical connections, not resold datacenter blocks relabeled as "residential."

Not true at all. IP quality scores work off network traffic they get through third parties, this has nothing to do with if an IP is virgin or not.

Honestly there is no conclusive way to tell and usually you don't need a fresh virgin IP. The IP you're using right now to type this isn't virgin, are you facing any issues?

You need an undetected residential proxy IP. To verify this, get a new proxy and check it on ip2location.com. If it is flagged as a proxy, request a new IP address.

“virgin ip” is mostly marketing. there’s no real way to prove an ip was never used before, especially with residential pools. tools like ipqs or scamalytics can show if an ip is already flagged but they won’t tell you if it’s truly fresh

what matters more is how the ip looks right now. dedicated mobile ips usually work best for socials because they’re constantly used by real people on real networks so even if they’re not technically virgin they blend in naturally. in practice that matters way more than chasing an unused ip

Then how to actually verify if a proxy IP has fraud scores or not?

Blacklists are one signal, but they lag badly - anti-fraud systems flag an IP based on behavior/fingerprint almost in real time, while it can take weeks or months for that same IP to show up on a public blacklist. So a "clean on blacklist" result doesn't tell you much on its own, especially for a supposedly fresh residential IP.

A much faster tell is DNS/ECS congruence - does the resolver chain and EDNS Client Subnet actually match the ASN/ISP the IP claims to belong to? You can check this before you ever touch the target site, so you're not burning an account to find out.

So instead of "use it live and see if you get banned," I'd check DNS/ECS alignment first - it filters out most of the bad IPs before you spend an account finding out the hard way.

Quit worrying yourself man, no provider will give you a virgin IP, not with the large pool of reusable IPs lying fallow about. If the current IP you are using isn't giving you significant issues, you shouldn't worry about it. So you go to test and discover it's shared, then you request for a new one which might also be shared, then what? You quit the company, for which other provider?

you can’t really prove that an IP has never been used before. Check its ASN, blacklist and abuse history, old DNS records, then test it on the actual platform. Facebook and YouTube may still have their own history for that IP
