It seems most of the "panels" that sell this stuff are just junk engagement that will get you penalized.

Let's say I set up my own proxies, anti-detect browsers, and aged YouTube accounts. Can I automate the engagement without getting penalized?

There’s no reliable way to automate engagement without risking penalties. Organic activity is much safer long term.

Don't try to game the YouTube algorithm, you'll get caught sooner or later and your channel will risk being suspended or seeing its reach reduced.
 
Yes if you done it alright , you have to make sure you are signin with all the account, use drip compaign like system , go slowly ,
build hard fans , add a lot of warmup and randomizations. and u will be fine.
 
The real issue isn't the proxies, it's the behavior patterns. If you automate comments or likes on random videos, you'll get flagged regardless of your tech stack. Focus on organic-looking interactions or consider using real iPhones for the accounts to bypass detection.

IMO, the proxies or older accounts does not really add any authenticity to the process, they just make the scheme more difficult to recognises. I would prefer to automate all the boring workflow stuff and let actual viewers create the engagement.
 
you can actually try doing that if you know you can make it feel natural and not like a bot because youtube is very sensitive to bot

botting with the panel services isn't the problem, its how you bot it that makes the difference...people usually send 1000s of views and etc under like 5 mins and that super suspicious to any algo, you need to bot it in a natural pattern like making use of the drip feed feature, adding not just one metric, like not just views, but following it up with relative likes and shares and subscribers and etc.

True, actual engagement tends to be more valuable in the long run. Actual comments, likes, respnses and repeated visits provide indications that you can work with, rather than always wondering if your automation will be detected.
 
Of course, that’s possible. However, it is important to follow the proper procedures and make sure to use it like a "real" account first.
 
It still gets detected as usual, because YouTube’s AI analyzes viewing behavior very closely, doing it this way both wastes resources and sooner or later will result in reduced engagement or the channel getting shut down.
 
I'd put the effort into improving CTR, retention and getting real viewers instead. those signals are much more sustainable than automated likes or comments.
