As for where to find work, i'd suggest contacting Twitch streamers or local companies that might benefit of TikTok promo

id pick one niche first instead of trying to edit everything

You should go with AFL or monetization based on views, ideally, if your editing is good, aim to earn from US views, as the RPM there is quite high. Good luck.

congrats. you can start by learning editing softwares like Premiere or CapCut, and then look for clients to build your business.

Congratulations on your newly landed gig. For me, I will say the platform does not really matter at this point, how good you are currently and your growth mindset matters. I would advise you to master Capcut both on PC and Mobile, Go to TikTok watch what kind of videos pulling engagements, try to replicate them with little tweaks and they become your master peices.

Focus heavily on mastering visual hooks and dynamic captions within the first 3 seconds, as that is what retains watch time on TikTok. Building a short 3-4 video portfolio demonstrating before-and-after retention edits will get you clients much faster than cold outreach alone.

You can start learning Canva AI either from YouTube (free) or Udemy (around 15-20$ on promotions per course). After that you will have to experiment with your videos and upload them to see which ones are performing the best etc.

u have got an advantage in that you have a real project to work on. i would begin by mastering the short form essentialls like good hooks, fast cuts, good captions nd making sure that the video is engaging without being over-edited. a few projects down the line, compile a portfolio of ur best 5-6 videos.

there are job boards on this fourm probably that look for editors, there are also job boards avaialbe on the interent that look for video editors/clippers for only fans model pages. look into that and create an account at freelance websites and build that account slowly and diligently.
