I noticed readers’ questions in my comment section were more valuable than my posts. I turned those into new articles.

Guess what?

They ranked faster because they directly answered real queries.

Do you guys use comments/feedback as content ideas?

Yeah, that's why people use Reddit to write content these days. It also works for videos.

Yeah You are right about that and I have seen people using Reddit and Quora for this as well

Well, turning comments into posts works great, they’re real user questions, so the content matches search intent perfectly

So when someone submitted comment, instead of publishing it as comment, you posted it as article ?

Absolutely, using reader comments and questions as content ideas is a great way to target real user intent.
Such content tends to rank quicker because it directly answers what people are searching for. Transforming feedback into blog posts or FAQs can significantly increase engagement and organic traffic.

that is what i have found as well. in most cases, comments are indicative of the querries people do not search for on their own. if there are many instances of similar queries being asked then this is an excellent reason for making them into their own posts.

Years back, I comment on my site with different names, these are well optimized comments, and they help the pages to rank better.

But comment is now treated as spam, and I doubt humans rely comment on blogs to contribute to the discussion.

yesh i have become increasingly aware of comments bcz of this exact reason. a brief question asked by one person might uncover an entire subject that was not explored in the original article. i normally find a question that gets reppeated more than once and develop a full post out of it rather than adding a paraggraph to the old post.

this is something i have noticed as well. comments are essentially market research for free bcz everyone will tell u precisely what conffuses them or what they need to know next. often one comment can result in a whole article or even a couple of blog posts in addition to an FAQ page.

commenting is an underrated form of academic research, imo. new idea for my research come to me through questioning, rather than through keyword searche.

Yeah, comments are almost like free intent research. I would take the recurring questons first, and those that have search intent would become posts/FAQs.

Comments are a great source of content ideas because they show the exact questions people still have. Those questions can turn into useful articles, FAQs, or updates to existing posts.

For me the comments section was filled with spam and I decided to close it long time ago.

Imv, comments are basically free audience research. I document the repeated queries nd translate only those that have search value into posts/FAQs.

Agree 100%. I have found more topics through commnts than by using any keyword tool as you know exactly what gap needs to be filled. These may also serve well in writing a FAQ section.
