THE SITUATION
Client: Online casino, Thailand market
Niche: Gambling / iGaming (about as high-risk as SEO gets)
The site's original domain got hit twice at once a Google core update and a Thailand policy crackdown landed in the same window. Rankings and traffic dropped almost overnight.
Instead of fighting to revive a penalized domain, we did a clean migration to a fresh domain and rebuilt from scratch using everything we'd already learned. That comeback alone got the new domain to 199,000+ monthly organic visitors.
This thread is about what happened AFTER that because a comeback that fades in a month isn't a comeback, it's a spike.
THE NUMBERS (last 30 days, straight from Ahrefs — screenshots below)
✔ 168 keywords now ranking on Google for the domain
✔ 42,100+ monthly visits from those keywords (and that's just the ones with enough volume to count — plenty of smaller long-tails aren't even included in that number)
✔ Almost all of it is brand new. Most of these 168 keywords entered the rankings for the first time in this single month.
The standout: the branded term "ยูฟ่า" (Ufa) is now pulling 32,730 visits/month on its own up +32,727 in one month. Two more brand-new keywords, "ยูฟ่าสล็อต" and "ทางเข้า ufabet มือถือ", added another 4,489 visits combined.
Only 2 keywords lost meaningful position in the same period. Everything else either held or climbed. That's not a lucky spike that's a site that's actually gaining topical trust with Google again.

WHY THIS MATTERS FOR ANYONE IN CASINO/IGAMING SEO
★ A clean migration after a penalty isn't a one-time fix. Done right, the momentum keeps compounding for months after the comeback.
★ New keywords showing up every month = the site is actually expanding its footprint, not just coasting on old rankings.
