Every so often you see posts like this. Yeah, it's still pretty much possible. KEy's still having an actual community backing that niche rather than just having a large member count with little by way of a throughline.
Live events, affiliate products, email lists, sponsorships, etc. These could all work depending on the niche. Just don't turn the group into a constant sales funnel or you'll probably kill the thing you're trying to monetise. Trust me, it's easy to tell when a group is just a thinly veiled sales funnel.

Of course, that is entirely possible.

- If we have a sufficiently large and active community, it will become a place with great potential for generating income.
