For a new website, Id build the foundation first: technical SEO, strong topical content and internal linking. Once the site has solid content and structure, start building relevant backlinks gradually rather than pushing a large volume from day one.

Solid technical SEO + useful content and topical coverage should be first approach, then go for building strong internal linking. Don’t focus backlinks at the beginning; once you have a good content base and pages getting decent amount of impressions, start building relevant links but in slow pace...........

keeping seo simple works better.focus basic stuff and put most of my effort into useful content.no need to overcomplicate things when the blog is already growing from the fundamentals

for a service site id do it a bit differently
i wouldnt start with 20 blog posts. first build really good pages for the actual services people can buy, then use blog content around the questions those customers search before hiring
traffic is nice but the first pages should have a clear way to turn that traffic into leads

When venturing into new topics i would first construct a strong topical structure before creating internal links. After getting impressions on the pages backlinks will be more logical.

I wouldnt plan the whole site before seeing any data. get the first batch of pages indexed, then watch which queries/pages start getting impressions even if theyre sitting page 5-10.
those early impressions usually tell you where Google already sees some relevance. id expand around those topics and strengthen those pages first instead of blindly publishing 50 articles for “topical authority”.
I think Consistency and user-focused content matter more than shortcuts.

Start with easier keywords first. It gives a new site a better chance to get some early traffic.

Content is like foundation so first few months should be focused around content only. Once you start getting some traffic, you should start building backlinks especially for pages which are ranking on Google.

For a new website, I would focus on useful content and internal linking first. Once Google starts showing impressions in Search Console, you have real data to see which topics are worth expanding.

Standalone blog, flattest site structure- publication not neutral business website , big G and Bing will love you, not have work with me,services or affiliate links on it only an email opt in, abou tme page and EEAT, not use categories and tags.
Or use story telling format, place on all channels- nurture that organic traffic to a squeeze page builds list fast with high opt in rates.
After 4 weeks of email sequences pitch them your offer (own service instead of affiliate products)
But most not understand, they build all one one with topic content mismash and create big pillar pages. It's classified as a neutral business identidy which not helps you much.
