Facebook groups or marketplace?

There is an option on marketplace allows you to post also in groups, so you can post in groups and marketplace at the same time

Marketplace is a search surface. People arrive already wanting a category and your listing gets matched to that intent. A group is a feed. Nobody woke up looking for you, you're interrupting a conversation that was happening anyway.

You should maintain both; your opportunities to reach customers will be greater.
 
What do you want to sell? Sell trending products, and if you need interaction/to build personal credibility, create a Facebook group.
 
In Fb groups, the customer base is clearer and more specific, targeting a particular audience that shares common interests.
 
I think both personal accounts and groups can work well, as long as the account has a good reputation and decent reach.

The marketplace will help you to show a catalog of all your listed product through time, and only audience who have intention to buy go for it,
While FB Group is only your post with a (few) related product, and for mass audience,
==> You can list all of your product on Marketplace (gain more organic traffic); combine with manual seeding to FB Group to expand audience.
 
Marketplace is better for direct sales, while Groups are better for targeted audiences and building trust. Both can work well depending on your goal.
 
Marketplace is usually better for physical products. Groups can work better for niche products or services since you can target people already interested in that topic.
