Backlinks added automatically when launching a new website, spam or not?

Hey

So each time we launch new websites we are getting these type of "ad spam links" added to our backlink profile in ahref, are these hurting our seo?, should we disawow them or just leave it so to speak ?

Yeah, I’ve come across the same thing while checking expired domains. You can find those backlinks pointing to almost every domain imaginable. These guys are just blasting their links across anything they can find on the internet.

It’s basically pure spam, and IMO, it’s probably more harmful than helpful for SEO.

Yeah its crazy, just ads for their services, so disawow basically then?

Yeah, these types of backlinks aren’t really worth much anyway, especially with so many OBLs. If it’s a blackhat niche, though, I’d say just let the backlinks stay.
 
These are pure spam and google ignores them. If you owns a couple of domains its worth disallowing then. You can also report them to google and ask google to deindex their domain.

I’d only consider disavowing if there is a large, persistent pattern of clearly manipulative links or you have an actual manual action. Otherwise, disavowing every spam link can create unnecessary work.

For these examples, I’d simply monitor them and focus on building relevant, legitimate backlinks.
 
thats someones cheap blast advertising there own link service man.. they hit every new domain they can find. google ignores it, dont waste time on disavow unless you get a manual action. funny thing is its the same kind of software people here call dead, just pointed at random sites with an ad as the content. pointed at your own tier 2 with proper AI written content its a completly different thing.. for casino you will need that structure anyway

Virtually every new site gets these showing up in backlink checkers. It's a kind of direct marketing targeting people who check their backlinks. The thing is that the outfits generating these links block Googlebot, so Google will never see them anyway. They're only interested in showing up in Ahrefs etc.
 
If you've been doing SEO for a while, you'll know it's quite normal in some niches - especially if you're into SAAS, link building, SEO, etc. - niche markets. But it's not limited to those. It's quite normal, and these are from indexers, etc., and they get their benefits (that's why they're doing it lol - nobody wants to spend their time and money on something wasteful, so of course). That being said, it has nothing to do with your project, and you don't need to bother with those things.

After all, SEO is super easy now. Earlier we used to worry about negative SEO and SPAM links, but now if Google doesn't like something, they just automatically ignore it. Or if they like it, they'll use it as a citation. So don't think too much - just continue link building according to your needs. No need to disavow.
 
i wouldnt rush to disavow these just because they look terrible in ahrefs

if you never built or paid for them and theyre just random spam domains linking to everything, google is probably already treating them as noise

for me disavow makes more sense when theres an actual unnatural link problem, not every time some scraper adds your domain
 
Not necessarily spam.

New sites naturally pick up some backlinks from directories, social profiles, mentions and crawlers but the quality and relevance matter more than the number.

I’d just monitor them and remove/disavow obvious toxic spam if it becomes a problem.
