Hi everybody
Why am I receiving a "failed to send" error notification on Facebook?

this can either be a temporary glitch on facebook or due to a poor Internet connection or any other resttrictions on ur facebook account. in that case u may update ur facebook application, clear its cache nd toggle from Wi-Fi to mobile internet nd vice versa.

This happens all the time with me, but with videos... and they always ended up being uploaded. So just take a look before trying to upload again!

first thing id check is if it fails with everyone or only one person

if its happening with everyone check account status/support inbox for any restriction and also try from browser. if its only one chat then its probably something with that conversation or recipient

"Fail to send" is typically a network drop especially when you are using the app. What actually happens is once there is no continuous network flow the app tries to buffer, this time, it may send that message. But wait a bit and continue to refresh because sometimes it connects and commences the upload which can show up after some minutes. Wait for at least 10 minutes then try again once you are sure your network is stable again and the first attempt failed

Have you checked to be sure your account is not suspended? There is time Facebook restricts you from posting and commenting or even sending chat messages. Check to be sure this isn't your case. Also, a network downtime can also cause that.

I've cleared the cache and switched to 4G, but Facebook is still having that error.

If network isn't the issue, you likely hit a temporary action block for sending too fast or triggering spam filters. Log in via desktop browser or check Account Status in your settings to see if there's an active restriction. Giving it a 24h break usually resets it.

you mean when you send message to other people, right?
sometimes, I got the same problem, because of my error network, or it's also the error from Facebook, but just happen in very short time.
you can wait and try again later.

This error usually occurs because the two accounts aren’t friends with each other. Check whether you’ve already added each other as friends.

check if the recipient's privacy settings block messages from non-friends, or if your account hit a daily outreach cap. clearing browser cookies or switching to mobile data sometimes helps if it is just an ip rate-limit issue.

How did you fix it, or did you just leave it as is and let it work normally on its own?

Thanks, I’ll check the blocking strangers and switching to 4G thing again and see how it goes, sometimes I hit the daily quota without even realizing it.

Indeed, since we weren't friends yet, the message got stuck in the message requests and immediately showed an error. I'll try adding you as a friend again and see how it goes, thanks!

I didn't bro. As i said, since i know it shows error but the video appears, the most i do is to wait some minutes, and then i access and see the video.

Let me go into the channel and carefully check the video list again to see what's up.

I’ll check the Account Status section again to see if it has any restrictions, then let it rest.thank

usually happens when you send messages too fast or use identical copy-paste text to multiple users. facebook's anti-spam filter triggers a temporary Messenger block, so let the account rest for 24 hours before sending any new messages

“Failed to send” is usually either a temporary message restriction or just messenger acting up. Check Account Status first, if it’s clean, update/restart the app, switch networks, and report it if it still fails
