SEO Strategy for New Websites

pick a couple low comp keywords in a tight niche and get a couple of relevant links pointing at the site early on. don’t go after competitive terms until you have some auth built up.

For me the fastest way to grow is make website, then once it built (basic), I turn and throw another website on the griddle. By filling up my host with 55 .com I have some diversified choice websites monetized different. Heres what I mean: I have a website with 3 clicks this mo, then thats a dud. If I make 10 sites and one is a dud, I still pull 1000 clicks fast. I made one family member 8 local lead generation websites, now $3600 PPC value on these new sites. Not bragging, Im just getting good at pulling these. I didnt have a clue about clicks though I could make a website. That was before I made 20 websites in a row, with a process and saw the results.
 
For a new website, focus on creating high-quality content and optimizing it properly. Publishing content consistently and in sufficient volume can help niche and long-tail keywords rank well and bring in a decent amount of initial traffic.

Yes, tiered link building can still work. I would keep it cautious, though. Put your effort into Tier 1 first. Use links that match the topic and come from good sites. For the lower tiers, do not get too aggressive. Only use them to support real, valid pages you control. In 2026, link relevance and link quality count more than chasing big numbers of links.
 
For a brand new site, I would begin with low competition high intent keywords, make sure there is high topical relevance, do the internal linking, and get some very relevant backlinks.

Set up the groundwork first, then scale according to what Google is rewarding.

As far as a brand new website is concerned it would be better to starts with something simple. Just mainly focus on getting the key words that you can actually wins and than have your pages indexed.

For a new site, I’d build relevance before chasing authority. Start with tightly related long-tail topics, solid internal linking, and clean on-page SEO, then add a small number of niche-relevant backlinks gradually as the pages begin getting impressions.
 
I'd start with solid, useful content targeting less competitive keywords. Then make sure the site is technically sound and build relevant internal links as more pages are published.
 
before building links id make sure the basics are clean first

check indexing, sitemap, robots.txt and GSC so google can actually crawl everything properly. then start with low competition topics and build from the pages that begin getting impressions

I’d start with low-competition, long-tail keywords and build solid, useful content around them. Then focus on internal linking and a few relevant quality backlinks.
 
i’d start with low-competition keywords, build useful content around a few closely related topics, and make sure the site has a strong internal linking structure Once the foundation is solid I’d gradually build relevant white hat links and use Search Console data to refine what’s already getting impressions
 
That’s a solid approach. I’d also watch which pages start getting impressions first, then build around those before chasing harder keywords.

I agree with this approach. Starting with a focused group of closely related topics makes it much easier to build topical depth and create meaningful internal links. Once the site has a solid foundation, expanding into broader topics feels much more natural and manageable.
 
Make sure the important pages are easy to reach from your homepage and other relevant pages.
 
Build topical authority content. So you ned to create structure content properly.


- List topic to make your website recognized as expert by crawler
- Build Pillar-support content and interlinking strategy
- Share content to your social media to feed LLM and Google since currently Google also crawl social media content.
