Have you ever switched Proxy services bec of quality?

I’ve noticed that a cheap service isn’t always a good deal if you keep running into connection issues
Has anyone here moved from one proxy service to another because of poor quality? What made the biggest difference?

Yes, choosing the right proxies for you scraper automation or any sought of system, is required alot of research and testing.
 
Its a common problem. Finding a proxy provider that actually works reliably for your specific use case can take some time and tasting.

Indeed, reliability is even more important than cost when it comes to proxies. In most cases, I like testing some providers before actual usage, focusing on reliability, speed, and IP quality

That’s right. I would try out my proxies on the actual workload before using them to see how they perform in practice.
 
Yeah, price stopped mattering pretty quickly when I kept getting unstable connections.

Me too, cheap is just not a priority if you are constantly losing your connection. Stability of uptime is more important for me than paying a few dollars more.
 
Cheap providers overshare their subnet pools so half the IPs are already blacklisted on Cloudflare or target platforms. Switching to a provider with non-sequential pools and clean fraud scores made all the difference
 
I usually care more about consistency than getting the absolute cheapest IPs.
 
The biggest difference is usually stability, not speed. Paying a little more for clean IPs, fewer disconnects, and decent support can save a lot of frustration.
 
Bad support can be just as annoying as bad proxies, Especially when something is time-sensitive.
 
Yep, many times actually. It takes quite a bit of trial and error to find a suitable provider for actual solid quality proxies. Hint, usually the cheapest option is cheapest for a reason.
 
Well, I tested quite a few providers before settling on my current one. I focused on the quality first and then looked for the most affordable option that met my requirements.

you never no how somethings works until you
try it so switching is always possible
 
Yeah, cheap gets expensive fast once you count the failed requests, lost sessions and time spent troubleshooting. Moving from shared to dedicated IPs made the biggest difference, followed by a provider with actually stable uptime and support that answers in minutes instead of days
