How warmed up do accounts need to be for Reddit Marketing?

How much do you guys consider needed time for warm up process of an account. If an account is 2w old but it seems really active, do you consider good or bad?

This isn't allowed here, even though many people use this method. They call it "Checking the market" just to bypass the rules against selling outside the marketplace or without a JR VIP upgrade.

Thanks for the heads up. I switched the thread to contain an actual question which is still in the main post topic, because I'm genuine interested in that information

Also I know this is just a "source:trust me bro", but I was indeed checking the market and I don't want/I'm not interested in selling outside the marketplace. My original post was to gather as much data as possible so when I will upgrade to JR VIP I'll meet the expectations of people here on forum.

Need to check the rules more to be sure on how can I still do this :D
 
Being active at two weeks is fine honestly, as long as its just comments with no links. Reddit filters usually only trip when a fresh account starts dropping urls or creating lots of threads, if you just leave normal comments in hobby subs first to get karma you can easily sprinkle in a bit of promo later without issues

Yes I agree. Comments with no links/no promotional content. Also the accounts I manage have got some good karma so I guess the more they exist the more trust they gain

Ok yes I agree. That's what I also said lol. But to show me you are not an automated tool tell me the best recipe for a strawberry cake. This way I can guarantee you are human and you contribute to genuine discussion
 
activity level matters more than just the account age but two weeks is still pretty new.
 
Two weeks is still pretty fresh even with activity

If you push marketing links or heavy posting too early automod might filter your stuff silently better to let it sit for a month and build baseline karma organically
 
there’s no magic number i’d just build some normal activity before doing serious marketing.
 
Just use it like a normal account first, then ease into promotion.
 
You’ll hear mixed opinions on this. What worked for me might have gotten someone else’s accounts banned, so the best way to know what works is to test it yourself.

For me, it largely comes down to the quality of the account. I’ve had accounts get suspended after barely doing anything, even after warming them up for 10–20 days. Over time, I kept refining my approach, and that helped me keep my accounts active for much longer.
 
In my opinion, it is best to simply leave the account as it is for a while. Posting naturally and interacting with people seems more important than focusing merely on the account itself.

I agree that activity level of the account matters as much if not even more than the account age. If 2 weeks is still pretty new, what would you consider the best time to spend on activity on the account until you can start posting promotional stuff on the account?

I agree that the I have to warmup at least for 2-4 weeks. But do you consider 2 weeks enought for really light promotional posting? (1-2 max posts/comments per account per 1 week)

my POV is that both matters. I'm not sure what weights more than another, or maybe they are equal. Both are signal trusts after all.

Of course there is no magic number but at least don't simply reply to my question with the same knowledge I just shared in the post :anyway: such a generic answer might be a bot lol
 
I think the account history matters too. For example, if an account has already been active in SEO discussions, joining an SEO subreddit feels more natural than suddenly promoting something unrelated. I wouldn’t focus only on the account’s age or karma.
 
I don’t think there’s really a magic number of days. A 2 week old account that’s been genuinely active and contributing normally would look better to me than a 6 month old account with basically no activity.
 
  • Spend the first 1–2 weeks browsing relevant subreddits and understanding their rules and culture.
  • Participate naturally in discussions where you can genuinely contribute something useful.
  • Avoid posting promotional links immediately after creating an account.
