Hey guys, If you have a small budget for a new campaign, how many ads do you normally test? Do you stiick with 2-3 ads, or test more? I don’t want to spread the budget too much, so just wanted to know what you guys usually do.
Thanks!

I normally start with 2-3 ads when the budget is small. Testing too many at once can make it harder to get enough data on each ad, so I’d find a winner first and then test more variations.

2 to 3 ads should be enough at first, add more only if you have enough budget to test them fairly.
Agreed. Keeping it at 2 3 ads will make things simpler. Once there is sufficient data and budget available, then variations can be introduced.

If your budget is very small, test one ad first so you do not spread the budget too much.

With a small budget you should start with 2–3 ads and let them get enough data then pause the weak ones and test new variations with the remaining budget.

I think 2-3 ads should be enough. your thought is right, test the performance first and then decide on the next step based on the results.

3 is best number to best honest. I always go for it.

The same logic applies here. When you have limited money, allocating it to too many ads will only slow the learning process. I would start by establishing a good baseline and then experiment on top of that.

the number matters less than whether each ad can actually get enough spend to tell you something. if the budget is small, i'd rather have 2 ads get meaningful data than 6 ads each get a handful of clicks. once one direction starts showing something, use the next budget to test variations around it.

I usually test a few different ad variations first, then scale the ones that show the best results. It really depends on the platform, budget, and type of offer.

Anyone running slots ads lately? How are you guys handling the recent account restrictions?

I usually test products by category. For each product category, I test at least two ad creatives so I have enough data to compare their performance.

I believe it's okay to test 3-4 ads at a time. Provides sufficient flexibility to compare headlines, offers and messaging without complicating things. Make each ad run for a period of time so you can gather some useful data, then stay with the more successful ad and test out a different variation.

3-4, depends on how small your budget is

I usually begin with two to three ads using a budget. After I get data I then put more money into the ones that are performing well.

If your budget is limited I’d start with 2/3 ads rather than spreading it across 5/10 variations. The important part is making the ads different not just changing the headline or button.
