Are Reddit account fillters getting stricter in 2026?

I'll have to warm up a new account first, but it's worth it for a last throw of the dice, especially with Christmas approaching.

What age and karma is your competitor's account? It's strange that it's working for them and not you.

he has few accounts but the one he jsut did today the first one ive noticed since the update this month (just puts domain space com no period in between) strangely only is showing one comment in the accounts history publicly but its a 2 year old account nearly no karma or much actiivity
not sure why he got it throug on this one maybe cause it doesnt have a spam history like his others

its not working for me cause i do LINKS. he doesnt

i would never waste my time spamming reddit to do text versions of a site. i barely even wanted to do it with links even though i was making thousands cause it was a lot of work these days

I use Reddit regularly, and 2026 has really been a turning point, making it much more difficult to post content and manage accounts compared to before.

Yes, filtering is becoming more reputation-based and community-specific, so quality and natural participation matter more than having an old account.

Yes Reddit has become more strict lately. I don't actively promote my business though, only if I see someone requesting the results that my business can give them, then and only then I pitch my business.
