What and the biggest difference when growing your first Reddit account?

Using Reddit more seriously recently and I'm fine finding that simply being active doesn't necessarily lead to much engagement,. If you've grown an account from scratch, what did you change that finally started getting your comments noticed?

Don't focus on karma farming at first.

Focus on familar with platform layout just you use other social media like Instagram, Facebook....

Reddit is different so spend time and spend on your specific subreddit you have interest of and write helpful content and learn from others comment, vibe of subreddit post and familar with all the rules like don't copy paste ..

Give 1-2 month times , then you learn from reddit itself will teach how and what to post and best time to post at evening and morning..

Don't be spammy now days all medium to high traffic subreddit force to do Reputation filter , don't try posting on new account gain karma through comment first..

Don't be aggressive if post removed instantly....rather spend 3-4 minutes scrolling leave one line helpful comment reply that's and if spending message to reply reply those messages.

I generally reply with funny, relatable memes in the comments. Once you’ve built up enough comment karma, you can start creating trending posts across different subs. That’s basically how I grew my personal account to 300K.

Honestly, I think being active alone isn’t enoughWhat helped me was giving genuinely useful replies instead of trying to comment on everything. Find the right subs, join discussions early, and add something useful or funny. Slowly people start recognizing your username.

I pay attention to reply depth now, a comment getting 8 replies is usually more valuable than one randomly getting 30 upvotes

For me it was commenting early on newer posts instead of jumping into threads that already had hundreds of replies. Way easier to actually get noticed and start getting some engagement.

Keep your replies short but add one useful point that gives people a reason to respond.

do not treat your first Reddit account like an advertising account, treat it like a real user account that happens to be interested in your niche. Once people recognize that you consistently provide useful contributions, promotional opportunities become much easier and safer.
