LinkedIn has a lot of content every day but do you actually learn something useful from it? or do you mostly use it for networking and work? curious to know how others use LinkedIn.

i use it for work and to gain useful insight about what i am meant to do and for updates

I mainly use LinkedIn for work and to find potential clients. Occasionally, I also learn some useful tips and insights from experienced professionals who share their knowledge.

I often use LinkedIn to connect with potential clients, and partly to learn from others because I find the information provided by LinkedIn users to be very honest and helpful.

honestly most of the content on there is just corporate cringe and people bragging about basic stuff. you have to filter through so much noise to find anything actually useful. i mostly just use it to keep an eye on industry shifts and see what competitors are up to... actual learning is pretty rare tbh, maybe a good tool recommendation once in a while if you follow the right people.

I do but I'm pretty selective. following the right people makes LinkedIn way more useful for learning.

Most people use LinkedIn mainly for business networking and news, because the main feed has too much filler, but you can still learn useful things by following real industry experts and reading the comment sections.
How do you find the good industry experts to follow on LinkedIn?

What type of LinkedIn content has actually taught you something useful?

I use it mostly for networking and work. Soon I will also be using it to grow my pest control business.

I follow some c# and ai sites and i get some new things to learn

Yes, but I’m more selective now. I follow people who actually share practical insights instead of just generic motivational posts.

Yes, I still use LinkedIn for learning, especially when someone shares how they solved a real problem. Sometimes I also come across a new strategy or approach that I can actually try in my own work.

Yeah, I still check LinkedIn from time to time. Apart from learning new things, it also gives me an idea of how people present themselves and how I can improve my own profile.

I use LinkedIn for both. There’s a lot of useful knowledge if you follow the right people, but networking and discovering opportunities are the biggest benefits for me.

Definitely, yes. once upon a time I got this lovely forum introduction from one of my LinkedIn friends.

I still use LinkedIn for learning, especially when I want different perspectives from people actually working in the industry. You just have to filter out the generic posts.

i mostly use linkedin for networking and industry updates, but there’s useful stuff if you follow people who share actual experience. you have to filter out alot of the generic motivational content though.

Not really for learning. Most content there is just self-promotion, so I only use LinkedIn for networking and business contacts.
