i would say that the age is a nice plus point, but not the most important aspect. if these blogs still have decent backlinks nd some autthority along with an appropriate history, then they can prove to be useful. i would analyze each blog separately first.

It is gud to have an old Blog spot blog but that alone was not a ranking secret. i would resurrect a few first to see the results before working on all twenty blogs.

Google say do you have any blogs. if the blog is old or new no problem you must have unique blogs .
make sure to check first if they has been killed off in previous core updates since many older web2.0 websites have been stripped of their power. If they are still active u have your own private blog network.

old blogspot blogs useful for seo when they have quality content and target long tail keywords with lower competition.the age alone doesnt mean much if the content has no real value.

You should post new blogs and keep them indexed; try to publish quality posts so they add value.
the age of a blog is an interesting point yet not the most important one for me. if these blogs have an untarnished reputation nd are rellated to the niche u are trying to build your website for, then it does not really matter how old they are.
